MY VALUES

MY VALUES -

Ali facilitates healing through the lens of harmonizing. Just as rivers rush with ferocity, wooden trees sway with ease, clouds float until they pour, just as the versatile fire can warm life or burn it up, as earth holds our foundation and reaches to the skies, and all these mechanisms depend on and balance one another. Nature’s infinite qualities live in balance within the human experience. Our blood flows in its pathway, our stomach heats our bounty, our head releases heat, the spine holds us upright. Ali sees the body in its very nature, and tailors her treatments to what is out of balance.
-
Ali believes this: when we scrape our leg and leave it be, two days will leave only a shadow. When we fixate on the scrape, we may feel like pick at it, as to erase it away. This only reinjures the tissue, promising a longer healing time and potential scar. A stressed out mind can directly guide misaligned behavior, but importantly, stress tells our body to pull its resources for fight or flight. It is only during rest that our cells carry out their specific functions. Calming the mind is key to providing the body with space and resources to do what it needs to repair.
-
with Acupuncture, breathwork, and healing touch, we can communicate where the energy of the body goes. In Chinese Medicine, yogic philosophy and buddhism, qi, ki, prana - breath, life force energy - must flow freely. This relieves pain, clears the mind and smooths our emotional experience.
-
When intuition guides action, and the ego takes the backseat, we have greater access to listening to the body and its needs. A mind full of to-do lists and stressors can’t hear our stomach telling the brain it is full when eating. When we pause, we realize what to change to find our balance. To rest is to remember our very essence.
